Ati Ling is the Bay Area branch of the Chagdud Gonpa Foundation established by the late His Eminence Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche, and is located just over two hours north of San Francisco in the coastal hills of west Sonoma county. Our resident lama is Tromge Jigme Rinpoche, son of Chagdud Rinpoche, and lama of Ati Ling since 1992.

In 1988, a vast and splendid piece of land was acquired in Northern California and Chagdud Rinpoche named it Rigdzin Ling, "the abode of the Awakened State Holders", which became the seat of the Chagdud Gonpa Foundation. The place was consecrated by great ceremonies, numerous offerings and aspiration prayers.

Chagdud Gonpa Amrita is the Seattle branch of Chagdud Gonpa Foundation. Since 1983, it has provided a place for beginning students and long-time practitioners to gather for teachings and practice in the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.

Chokdrup Ling Retreat Center

Chokdrup Ling was established as a retreat center in 1998 by Lama Padma Yontan Gyatso, the resident teacher of Chagdud Gonpa Amrita in Seattle, Washington. His Eminence, the late Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche honored this beautiful 240-acre retreat property in the Four Corners Region of Southwest Colorado by naming it Chokdrup Ling, meaning “Land of Supreme Accomplishment”. Lama Padma has always felt that Rinpoche didn’t choose this as a mere name for the land, but as prophecy of what will occur there in the future.

Dechen Ling

For the past 35 years, Chagdud Dechen Ling has been a Chagdud Gonpa center, with Red Tara and Vajrakilaya practice being held here on a daily basis. Although our Cottage Grove Sangha is small in numbers, it is a dedicated group of practitioners, who each care deeply about carrying out Rinpoche’s original intention for this place.

Odsal Ling, Chagdud Gonpa Brasil's São Paulo temple, was founded in São Paulo in 1993 by H.E. Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche. After the end of Lama Tsering's retreat ended in 1995, she and her husband Lama Norbu also moved to Brazil establishing themselves in São Paulo to support and make the São Paulo sangha flourish.

Chagdud Gonpa Dordje Ling offers teachings and meditation practices of the Nyingma Tibetan Buddhist tradition in the southern Brazilian city of Curitiba, in the State of Parana. Our temple is located in a rented house downtown and all of the practices, meditations and teachings are realized in a tent in the backyard, maintained for over 10 years by the generosity and contributions of our members and sympathizers.‍
