During these four days, Lama Padma will introduce us to the practice of Bodhichitta Mind Training–Lojong, a complete Buddhist path structured into seven essential points.
Its purpose is to develop a deep compassion that awakens us to our naturally present clear, luminous, unmistaken wisdom mind that is endowed with powerful qualities enabling us to meaningfully relate with others.
The source of these teachings is the Indian master Atisha (982-1054) and Gyalsay Tokmé Zangpo(1295-1364) of Tibet. Lama Padma received these teachings from many gurus,in particular the great meditation master and scholar, Venerable Dezhung Rinpoche (1906-87).
Lama Padma will be giving the required Refuge and Bodhisattva vows to all participants on the first day of the retreat. Also, we will be introduced to a special meditation that combines Chenrezig mantra practice with Guru Yoga and the Lojong practice of Sending and Taking.
This retreat will be essential for those who aspire to become a genuine Mahayana person and will be sure to bring your practice to the next level.
